Cairo (Egypt)- Arab Agriculture Ministers and their African counterparts consider Tuesday in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) cooperation, agriculture development and food security. Initiated by the African Union and the Arab League, the conference will see the participation of 54 countries, including Algeria, represented by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Rachid Benaissa, some 400 international experts in agriculture and food security, representatives of Arab and African banks as well as NGOs. The meeting aims to develop a joint work schedule to promote complementarity and potentialities in the Arab world and Africa, with a view to ensuring food security and supporting agriculture development in both regions.
